Cookie Policy
Last updated: July 10, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how weClick ("we", "us") uses cookies and similar technologies on weclickquiz.com. It sits alongside our Privacy Policy and goes into more detail about the small files stored on your device. By using the site and accepting our cookie notice, you agree to the use of cookies as described below.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device (computer, tablet or phone) when you visit. They let a site remember your actions and preferences over time, and they help site owners understand how their pages are used. Some technologies work similarly to cookies โ such as your browser's local storage โ and this policy covers those too.
Cookies can be "first-party" (set by weclickquiz.com itself) or "third-party" (set by another company whose service we use, such as Google). They can also be "session" cookies, which disappear when you close your browser, or "persistent" cookies, which stay until they expire or you delete them.
Do we even need cookies to work?
weClick is deliberately lightweight. You can take a quiz, get your name-based share link and see your match result without creating an account. The core game relies mainly on the link itself and your browser's local storage, not on tracking cookies. Cookies mostly come into play for optional analytics and, if enabled, advertising.
Types of cookies we use
1. Strictly necessary & preferences
These keep the site working and remember basic choices โ for example, storing your cookie-consent decision so we don't ask again on every page, and remembering your chosen language. Much of this is handled through local storage rather than traditional cookies, stays on your device, and is never used to track you across other websites. Because the site cannot function properly without them, they are always on.
2. Analytics cookies
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand, in aggregate, how many people visit, which quizzes and question lists are popular, and how the site is shared. This helps us improve the content. Google Analytics may set cookies (for example _ga and _ga_<id>) to tell one visitor's session apart from another's. These do not tell us your name or exact location. Google Analytics runs under Google Consent Mode, so until you accept the cookie notice it operates in a limited, cookieless, non-personalized way.
3. Advertising cookies
To keep weClick free, we may show ads served by Google AdSense and its partners. When advertising is enabled, these third parties may set cookies to measure ad performance and โ only if you consent โ to show ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Until you accept the cookie notice, ad personalization stays turned off through Consent Mode.
Third-party cookies
Some cookies are set by the third-party services we rely on rather than by us directly:
- Google Analytics โ traffic measurement. See Google's Privacy Policy and the Google Analytics Opt-out Add-on.
- Google AdSense โ advertising. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visits to this and other sites. Learn more at How Google uses cookies in advertising.
We do not control cookies set by these third parties. Please review their own policies for full details.
Your choices โ managing cookies
You are in control. Here are your main options:
- Our cookie notice. When you first visit, you can choose Got it to accept, or Decline to keep analytics and ad personalization off. You can change your mind by clearing this site's data in your browser, which brings the notice back.
- Personalized ads. Opt out of personalized advertising at Google Ads Settings, or opt out of many third-party vendors at aboutads.info and youronlinechoices.eu.
- Your browser. Every major browser lets you block or delete cookies in its settings. Blocking all cookies may affect how some websites work, but weClick's core quiz will still run.
Consent Mode
weClick uses Google Consent Mode. This means analytics and advertising tags load in a restricted, privacy-preserving state by default, and only switch to their full behaviour after you accept the cookie notice. If you decline, personalized data collection stays off.
Children
weClick is a family-friendly, general-audience site and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly use cookies to collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time โ for example, if we add or remove a service. Any changes will be posted on this page with a new "last updated" date.
